Chandler – I’m not going to take any part in this election.
State Senator Harriette Chandler will not be running for reelection. The former Senate President and first woman elected to the State Senate from Worcester looked back at her accomplishments and the work ahead in a conversation on the Talk of the Commonwealth with Hank Stolz.
Among the accomplishments she spoke about was her work on reproductive freedom. She feels legalizing sports betting in Massachusetts is a priority.
Chandler said she felt it was time for new blood. As far as people running for her seat Chandler hopes women will run for the seat but “Hank I’m not going to take any part in this election. Because this is for the voters of Worcester to decide.”
