Erin Williams Stepping Down
The city’s Cultural Development Officer Erin Williams is stepping down after 18 years. Erin Williams will be bowing out this Saturday as Worcester celebrates its 300th Anniversary. Helping put together the Tercentennial Celebration was one of Erin’s final acts for the city. When Erin arrived in Worcester 18 years ago about a dozen organizations belonged to the Cultural Coalition, now that number is 89. Erin can point to the growth of the Theater District, the Out to Lunch concert series and the JMAC as proud accomplishments. Erin and Hank every Thursday on air for the past 18 years to let people know what was happening in the Central MA entertainment world. On Thursday June 9th she made her final appearance and had time to reflect on her time in the city.
