HANK – UPDATE WORCESTER’S SCHOOL DRESS CODE!
Students say the Worcester Schools’ Dress Code should be updated. Hank couldn’t agree more. It should be updated, it should be stricter. As a matter of fact Worcester Public Schools should have school uniforms. Oh, not what the students meant? Hank argues that a dress code that reinforces that you are at school to learn will increase attendance, raise test scores and grades. The dress code that they want to change says “no visible undergarments’ when sitting, standing or bending.” No hats in the classroom. Hardly, draconian measures. Hank applauds the students for advocating for their position of an even looser dress code than what exists now. Part of the lesson is that there will be pushback, not everyone in the community will see it the same way a teenager does.
